Ephrata teen selected for poetry anthology

An untitled poem by Nora Said, a 16-year-old Ephrata High School junior, has been selectred for publication and entered as a semi-finalist in the 1994 North American Open Poetry Contest.
The poem was submitted to the National Library of Poetry in May and Said was notified of the selection in early August.
The piece will be included in “Seasons to Come,” a poetry anthology scheduled for publication in the spring of 1995 and has been entered as a semi-finalist in a contest that carries a grand prize of $1,000, she said.
Said has been writing poetry for the past two years.
